This policy explains which personal data I process on HELEN IN STYLE when you visit the website, send a message, subscribe to the newsletter, make a property enquiry or buy a digital guide. The applicable rules are the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and supplementary Spanish data protection legislation, in particular Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. Operating the website with Wix
This website is operated using Wix. Wix provides hosting, technical infrastructure, forms, contact management, newsletter and shop functions. The service provider is Wix.com Ltd., 5 Yunitsman Street, Tel Aviv, Israel, together with its affiliates and subprocessors. Where Wix processes data on my behalf, the Wix Data Processing Agreement applies.
When you access the website, technically necessary connection and usage data are processed. These include, in particular, your IP address, the time of access, the pages requested, browser and device information, and technical error and security information. This processing enables the website to be delivered, keeps it stable and protects it against misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is in maintaining a secure and functional website.

3. Cookies, consent and analytics
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary functions enable, for example, secure operation, storage of your privacy choices and shopping cart processing. Non-essential analytics and marketing technologies may only be used in accordance with your consent. Article 6(1)(a) GDPR applies to such processing; access to information on your device is additionally governed by Spanish cookie rules, in particular Article 22.2 LSSI-CE.
You can select the available categories under “Settings” in the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. If the banner is no longer visible, you can delete this website’s cookies in your browser to make your choices again on your next visit. You can also restrict cookies through your browser; this may impair certain functions.
Wix Analytics is available for website statistics. It analyses information such as page views, traffic sources and device information. Visitor and behavioural statistics that use analytics cookies depend on your choices in the Wix cookie banner. These are distinct from operational summaries of orders and incoming enquiries, which are based on data already processed for those activities.
Wix logs cookie choices, including the time and technical details, so that your decision can be respected and demonstrated. This documentation fulfils data protection accountability obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
4. Contact and business enquiries
If you contact me through the contact form or by email, I process your contact details, your message and any information you provide voluntarily. I use these data to respond to and handle your enquiry. For contract-related enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other messages, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on my legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
Form messages are processed through Wix. I use Google Workspace for business email communication. Google processes email addresses, content and communication data as a technical service provider. Information about its privacy and security terms is available at https://workspace.google.com/terms/ . Please do not send copies of identity documents, banking login details or health records through the general contact fields.
5. Property enquiries and partner agencies
When you make a property enquiry, I process your name, email address, telephone number if provided, and search profile. This may include whether you wish to buy or rent long term, your preferred region, property type, budget, number of bedrooms, timeframe, rental duration and additional preferences. The purpose is to understand your enquiry, clarify questions and suggest suitable contacts. Processing the assistance you request is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your enquiry comes to me first. Before passing personal information to partner agencies, I agree with you which agency will receive your details and what information will be shared. Such sharing takes place on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by emailing realestate@helen-in-style.com. No information is passed to partner agencies without the relevant consent.
The agency subsequently working with you generally processes your data as an independent controller. You will receive its privacy information when contact is established. Please limit free-text information to what is necessary for your search.
6. “Letters from Helen” newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I process your email address and, if provided, your first name. The newsletter covers HELEN IN STYLE, Mallorca, fashion, beauty, the guide and other offers of my own. Delivery and management are handled through Wix Email Marketing. The legal basis for sending it is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Registration and any required confirmation are documented to provide proof of consent.
The currently enabled Wix function also records newsletter opens and link clicks. It uses technical measurement functions and individually associated links. These analyses can be linked to a recipient and are used to understand how the content is used and how relevant it is. Measurement linked to an individual requires the relevant consent; simply referring to this privacy policy does not replace that consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by writing to helen@helen-in-style.com. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. After you unsubscribe, your address will no longer be used to send the newsletter; necessary records and suppression information to prevent further mailings may be retained beyond that point.
7. Guide shop, orders and payments
When you order from the guide shop, I process the details required at checkout, in particular your name, email address, billing address where applicable, the edition ordered, price, order time, and payment and transaction status. This is necessary to perform the contract, provide the digital guide, send order messages and handle questions under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies to records required by tax and commercial law.
The shop operates through Wix Stores and Wix eCommerce. The configured payment methods use Wix Payments together with the participating payment processors, banks and, where applicable, wallet providers. They receive the data required for payment, authentication and fraud prevention. The payment methods actually available are shown at checkout. Full card details or wallet login credentials are not requested through my general contact forms.
The participating payment service providers may also process data as independent controllers to meet legal obligations and secure transactions. Further information is available in Wix’s privacy information and the relevant provider’s notices displayed during payment.
If you use the available customer account functions, the details required for registration and account management, along with associated orders and addresses, are also processed. This processing provides the account you use under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
8. External links and affiliate offers
This website contains links to Instagram, recommended providers and affiliate offers, including through LTK and stylink. When you open an external link, the provider you visit receives connection data such as your IP address and browser information for technical reasons. Affiliate links also contain identifiers that can associate clicks or purchases with a recommendation. The destination websites may use additional cookies and tracking methods; their own privacy notices and consent settings apply.

Providing these links serves my legitimate interest in offering content, recommendations and paid collaborations under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This does not replace any consent required for non-essential tracking technologies.
9. Recipients and processing outside the EEA
Access is limited to people and service providers to the extent necessary for the purposes described. These include, in particular, Wix, the email service provider, participating payment service providers and, where applicable, tax advisers and competent authorities where required by law. Partner agencies receive information only within the scope previously agreed with you.
Wix and other internationally operating service providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for Israel. Other transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and any additional protective measures required. Details about Wix and its subprocessors are available in the information linked above. You can also ask me for information about the safeguards that apply to your data.
10. Retention periods
I retain data for as long as they are necessary for the relevant purpose. For contact and property enquiries, this depends on handling the enquiry and any resulting contractual relationship. Newsletter data are used for the duration of the subscription; necessary consent records and unsubscribe suppression records are retained only for as long as required for accountability and protection obligations.
Order, invoice and tax-related documents are retained in accordance with the applicable Spanish retention periods. Statutory record-keeping obligations, ongoing proceedings or the establishment, exercise or defence of claims may require longer retention. Once the purpose no longer applies, data are deleted or, where Spanish law requires, blocked for the purposes prescribed by law and then deleted.
11. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Right to object: Where data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons; this also applies to related profiling.
To exercise your rights, simply send a message to helen@helen-in-style.com. Where necessary to identify you securely, I may request additional information to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. 12. Required information and changes
Required fields are marked in the relevant form. Without the information necessary to handle an enquiry or perform a contract, I cannot process the relevant enquiry or order. You may omit optional information. This privacy policy is updated when functions, services used or legal requirements change.
